This cruise lets you explore Lake Mälaren and make a visit to one of the sourroundings many castles. Why not make a visit to Drottningholm and have lunch and walk in the park, or visit Sturehovs 17'th century castle. We will bring you to see Stockholm from the water and then enter Mälaren via the Hammarby lock. The cruise can be adapted to either a day or a afternoon cruise.
Visit a castle in Läke Mälaren
There are beautiful castles around Lake Mälaren that can be visited on a day trip from Stockholm. Some of these castles are former Royal castles and one is still owned by the Swedish Royal House.
You will also find one of the finest boutique hotels in Sweden in one of the castles surrounding Lake Mälaren.
Lake Mälaren is a large lake just west of Sweden’s capital Stockholm (though the lake runs all the way through to Stockholm).
On this cruise we will enter Mälaren via the Hammarby lock and then aim for the destination to one of the lakes many fortresses.
Maximum number of participants is 5, optimal number of participants is 4.
This cruise will start according to our agreement and suitable for the destination.
All adult participants must possess basic swimming skills.

Safety on board and enjoying your trip to the full is a cornerstone for us at PicBoats. Being out at sea in inclement weather is neither pleasant nor desirable – and why we will always provide you with final confirmation of your trip when the weather forecast gives you the best opportunity to fully enjoy your cruise. This is normally 0 to 48 hours before departure.
PicBoats’ skipper will be in contact with you prior to your excursion.
If the weather looks to be at the limit of being acceptable, please make sure you have a backup plan for your day in Stockholm. If time permits, the trip will either be rescheduled, or you will be given a full refund of your prepayment.
Before the trip
PicBoats’ boat is equipped with life jackets for all passengers. The boat is a day cruiser, so make sure you bring warm clothing especially for afternoon and evening trips.
Please be aware that the vessel is equipped with a portable toilet and space for privacy is limited.
